What is Koolcote?
“KOOLCOTE” is a mix of balanced concretes, sand and polymers which are applied over existing or new concrete surfaces. Many different texture and color applications exist to personalize your project. One of our TCR design consultants will help you design the perfect combination of textures, color, and patterns for your pool deck, patio, driveway, or walkways. The options are endless. We also have a variety of different ways to address cracks in your concrete depending on the severity of them. Our concrete overlays are applied 1/8” to 1/4” thick, but we can also apply thicker to assist in drainage issues in some cases.
How many colors and patterns can be achieved with this system?
Many different template patterns and texture finishes are available. “KOOLCOTE” Acrylic Deck Finishes come in twelve standard colors and a custom color deck is available for choosing custom tinting of up to 1,200 different color specifications.
What other decorative finishes can be achieved with “KOOLCOTE” Concrete Finishes?
A variety of stamped patterns can be applied using the “KOOLCOTE” Concrete Overlay system. This system is applied the same as the“KOOLCOTE” Concrete but is stamped to create rock patterns. The “KOOLCOTE” Concrete Overlay is then stained to the desired color with an Acrylic Stain. After the stain has dried, a one or two coat application of Acrylic Solvent or Water Based Clear is applied as a top coat. Normal waiting time before placing furniture on your “KOOLCOTE” Concrete Finish surfaces is 48 hours. However, the surface should be checked for complete hardness before setting furniture on it. If the surface is a little soft, wait an additional 24 hours.
